Before becoming a Fort Collins chiropractor, Dr. Jeremy Overholt had a few stops along the way that all culminated in him serving this great community.

Dr. Jeremy Overholt was born in Spearfish, SD but spent the first 10 years of his life growing up abroad in Germany. He returned to South Dakota for high school where he became an accomplished runner and developed a passion for health.

He attended Carthage College in Kenosha, WI where he was a member of both the cross country and track team. He won many races and accolades include Academic All-American status.

After graduation, Dr. Overholt went to work for a business technology firm and continued to pursue his passion for competing in marathons. It was during a training run on a trail that he suffered a career-ending injury.

He seriously damaged his Achilles tendon that left him unable to run nor walk without significant pain for nearly three years. After surgery and physical therapy offered no relief, Dr. Overholt discovered acupuncture.

He had an acupuncture miracle of sorts as he was able to walk without pain for the first time since his injury and he was soon able to run and compete again!

Shortly thereafter he discovered chiropractic following an auto accident and the recommendation of a friend to visit a chiropractor.

His chiropractor helped him recover from his injuries and enabled him to continue to compete in marathons. It was then that he made a life-changing observation. He was running better, recovering fast, had lost his allergies and was healthier now than he was in his youth.

His chiropractor explained to him how chiropractic was the connection to his increasing health. (Read our Blog for more on that!) From that point on Dr. Overholt knew that he wanted to help people achieve greater levels of health and he was going to do that through chiropractic.

From there he quit his business technology job and enrolled at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis Missouri. Upon completion of the doctorate program, he graduated Cum Laude.

Dr. Overholt, his wife and their three children have called Fort Collins home ever since. They love being part of the community, meeting all the wonderful people and enjoying the many benefits of living in Northern Colorado.

In his spare time Dr. Overholt enjoys trail running around Fort Collins and spending time with his amazing children discovering the gems of Colorado.
